The weather is absolutely divine in December. Highs around 75-80 with no precipitation and just chilly enough in the evenings to require a light sweater when strolling down the Malecon. If you come in early December the hotels will probably be around 65%-70% booked, so the city will be crowded, but not as much as it is from late December to mid-May when the hotels are consistently booked to 90%+. Me, I like it when the city is absolutely jamming, but some people prefer to enjoy the city’s peaceful and serene side. Vacationing in early December should provide you with the opportunity to enjoy both.
